Approval of Sion Village Project for Morris Architects and Grange Developments
We're excited to share that Morris Architects, working with our client Grange Developments, has received approval to move forward with our project in the Sion village area.
We'll be replacing an existing dwelling with 2 lovely 3-bedroom and 4 charming 4-bedroom houses. The Planning committee, along with the case officer and all statutory consultees, fully support our vision. We're grateful for their support and look forward to bringing this project to life!
Shortlisted for Guernsey Design Awards
Morris Architects are delighted to announce that St James’ Place has been shortlisted for the Commercial award in this year’s Guernsey Design Awards.
This exciting project was commissioned by Comprop CI to provide a new four storey 18,000 sq ft Office Development. The facade consists of curved GRC panels hung off a curtain walling frame system and the modern architectural language was meticulously developed to sit sympathetically in the local sensitive historic street scene.
Morris Architects are delighted to be involved with the refurbishment of the iconic and Grade 1 Listed Building Fort Henry, following the devastating fire in May last year that destroyed a workshop and welfare building and caused physical damage to the historic fort walls and part of a WWII German structure.
Fort Henry is owned by The Royal Jersey Golf Club and is currently used for the green keepers store.
Having successfully navigated the planning system to obtain the permission required for a Listed Building, we are now preparing detailed information and working with two local contractors to restore the damaged historic walls and to provide a new workshop and welfare facilities.
